Official Man Utd Thread

I think SAF thinks Rafael is ready for 1st team football, seeing as he started today, and has been with the 1st team more often than not over the course of the season. Neville's played a blinder this season. I could see him becoming more of a coach/mentor next season, but I think Rafael will really need to step up to the plate.

Agree that Fabio isn't ready yet, but with some experience he could be. I don't think we should blow money on a position that could be covered before we know for sure. That was why I'm surprised SAF hasn't played him more this season.

Fletcher also has the ability to play out on the left. There was one point during the season he played there. Can't remember when, but he's a good round performer that can play in defence or midfield.

Whenever I think of David Gray, I think the only reason he's there is because of Daddy. He'll need to be a fucking superstar to turn my opinion around.

As for Fletcher, no way he is the winger type when playing out left. He was there against Milan n San siro and against Liverpool at OT. That was just tactical.

He can play there in a pinch. But thinking about it I agree we need a LW. I've heard the commentators say several times that Nani prefers to play on the right, but is stuck on the left because of Valencia likes the right, or is that the other way around?

Nani is AML the typical inside forward cutting inside and shooting while he was in Sporting, while Tony is typical tarditional byline-winger. Who has left leg just so he could look normal.

Tony also isn't that techicaly skilled and not good dhooter as Nani so he could play as a left winger and then cut inside.

Fair enough. Still don't think we need anymore defenders, unless there's someone out there we can trade Evans for.

Think my night out on thursday ruined everything for me. I normally get up 3:30 - 4:00 am for work. From that to going to bed at 5am really messed me up.
But it was a great night out, with lots of beer, and lovely company

Back on topic. I really hope Chelsea manages to ruin everything for themselves.
Man Utd is definitely not my favourite team, but i'd rather have them winning the Premiership, rather than the blue bastards.
But then, based on his last performance, Berba shouldn't even be on the bench IMO.

It's not a really a phase for me. I have Myalgic Encephalopathy, which is a chronic sleeping disorder. All part and parcel.

Being realistic, I can't see us winning the title now. We had a chance to take it at Blackburn and blew it. Relying on others slipping up is never going to work.

Strikers are measured by goals, and Berbatov doesn't measure to highly in that department.

Price tag means nothing! It's all to do with how the player plays. A new club means a new beginng, no expectations. And you haven't said anything that proves anything against that.
